Currently, it is not possible to convert an active listing to a draft in Vela. Listings can be moved from Draft or Inactive to Active, but not the other way around.
Deactivating Listings
- Currently, it is not possible to deactivate listings in bulk using Vela.
- You can only deactivate listings individually within Etsy.
- However, you can publish listings in bulk if needed.
Managing Your Listings
If you need to make changes to your listings, consider the following options:
- Edit Active Listings – You can make updates directly to your active listings without needing to move them to drafts.
- Create New Drafts – If you want to save changes for a future listing, you can create a new draft instead.
- Bulk Edits – Vela allows you to edit multiple active listings at once, but the status change from Active to Draft is not currently supported.
FAQs
Q: Can I deactivate an active listing instead?
A: Yes! You can deactivate a listing on Etsy, which will move it to inactive. However, it still won’t convert to a draft in Vela.
Q: How can I prepare listings for future use?
A: You can create new drafts for products you plan to list later. This way, you can manage and refine them before activating.
Q: Can I deactivate multiple listings at once in Vela?
A: At this time, bulk deactivation is not possible in Vela. Deactivation must be done individually within Etsy, though Vela does allow bulk publishing of listings.
Troubleshooting
Issue: I need to save changes but don’t want the listing to be live yet.
